Healing with the Body’s Wisdom

SOMATIC-INFORMED PRACTICES

Somatics is the practice of reconnecting with the body and understanding how physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts are deeply connected. The word “soma” comes from the Greek word for “body.”

In our sessions, we’ll use somatic practices to help you slow down, tune into your body, and notice what it’s communicating. These gentle, body-centered tools build awareness of how your nervous system responds to stress, emotion, and memory.

Rather than focusing on fixing or analyzing, somatic work invites curiosity and choice. Over time, it helps you recognize patterns, create new pathways of safety, and build greater self-trust and ease in how you move through life.

Integrating New Pathways of Growth

EMDR-INFORMED TOOLS

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that informs part of the work we do together. While we won’t use EMDR in its traditional clinical form, we’ll incorporate EMDR-inspired techniques such as gentle bilateral stimulation through body movement or butterfly tapping.

In coaching, these tools help reinforce positive shifts, integrate new insights, and support the nervous system in releasing old, protective patterns. Bilateral stimulation engages both sides of the brain, allowing experiences to process more fluidly and strengthening new, adaptive beliefs.

Rather than reprocessing distressing memories, our focus is on helping your system embody safety, regulation, and a new way of relating to yourself. This EMDR-informed approach serves as a gentle bridge between awareness and integration, supporting your body and mind to work together toward lasting change.

Healing the Different Parts of Yourself

PARTS WORK (IFS-INSPIRED)

Parts Work, also known as Internal Family Systems (IFS), is an approach that helps you understand and work with the different “parts” of yourself. We all have inner parts—some that protect, some that carry pain, and others that hold conflicting emotions or needs. These parts influence how you think, feel, and respond to life, often shaping the way you show up in relationships and daily experiences.

In our sessions, we’ll use IFS-informed practices to help you develop awareness and compassion for these inner parts. By approaching each one with curiosity and understanding, you’ll begin to uncover what it needs and gently release old roles or stories that no longer serve you.

Over time, this work helps your inner system shift from conflict to connection, allowing your true self to lead with greater clarity, compassion, and confidence.
